Fee Removal

This is normally where most banks charge you fees to apply for a Debit Card and then to use it. We’ve removed the application fees and ATM fees for the EF Global Group Venture Debit Card, simply go into the branch, complete the paperwork and collect your card.

The EF Global Group Venture Debit Card is very secure and protected by Visa. In order to use the card, it must be activated at the branch; you can then select your own PIN so only you know it. Every card also has a range of security features including a chip, a ‘CVV’ number on the back of the card and PIN validation requirements.

Good question. Consistent with similar accounts, there still are some charges associated with the EF Global Group Debit Card, but we’ve worked to remove as many as we can.

What is the EF Global Group Venture Debit Card?
With a EF Global Group Venture Debit Card, you can make purchases and payments for your business, anytime, anywhere using your linked business bank account. The EF Global Group Venture Debit Card allows you “tap to pay” on EFTPOS machines both in PNG and overseas, as well as make online purchases and payments and even withdraw money from any ATM where Visa Cards are accepted. The card is linked to a EF Global Group Business Account, meaning when you’re making purchases, you’re spending your own money, so there is no credit involved. It just “debits” your account automatically. With a EF Global Group Venture Debit Card, you have access to over 2.2 million ATMs worldwide – the card has global acceptance and allows you to make secure purchases with the Visa fraud protection.
Who can request a EF Global Group Venture Debit Card?
The EF Global Group Venture Debit Card is designed for sole traders and partnerships only.
How old do I need to be to have a EF Global Group Venture Debit Card?
You must be aged 18 years or more to meet acceptance for a EF Global Group Venture Debit Card and be running your own business or be in business partnership.
Can I select my own PIN?
Yes, you can select your own PIN and you can also change your PIN at any EFGlobalGroup Bank ATM.
Will I need to activate my card before I can use it?
Yes, when you get your card it will be activated in the branch.
Can I use my EF Global Group Venture Debit Card for online purchases and payments?
Yes, you can use your EF Global Group Venture Debit Card when making online payments and purchases for your business. You may need to pay for new stock or order new equipment, it can all be done online using your EF Global Group Venture Debit Card. You just need to enter your card number when you’re asked to provide your payment details, provide the card expiry date and confirm the ‘CVV’ which is the 3-digit number on the reverse of the card. It’s that simple.

Can I use my EF Global Group Venture Debit Card overseas when travelling for business?

Yes, your EF Global Group Venture Debit Card can be used to access cash from ATMs and for purchases via EFTPOS at shops, hotels, taxis, restaurants and more.

If I am an existing EFGlobalGroup Bank business customer, am I eligible to apply for a EF Global Group Venture Debit Card?
If you’re a sole trader or in a business partnership and are legally licensed to trade in PNG you may be eligible to apply for the EF Global Group Venture Debit Card.
Can I use my EF Global Group Venture Debit Card for everyday transactions?
Definitely, you can use your EF Global Group Venture Debit Card at EFTPOS terminals, and you simply just Tap to Pay. When completing purchases over a set limit, you will be prompted to enter your pin.
How secure is a EF Global Group Venture Debit Card?
The EF Global Group Venture Debit Card is very secure and protected by Visa. In order to use the card, it must be activated at the branch; you can select your own PIN so only you know it. Every card also has a range of security features including a chip, a ‘CVV’ number on the back of the card and PIN validation requirements that help keep your card secure.
How will I be able to view my card transactions?
All your transactions will appear on your statement and also on your Internet Banking transaction history.
What happens if I find fraudulent transactions on my account? Do I get my money back?
As per our Terms and Conditions, if a fraudulent transaction occurs on your account and our investigations prove that you were not responsible, you may not be liable for any losses incurred. However, Visa’s Zero Liability policy may still apply.
How often will I get a statement?
You can view your statement or transaction history via Internet Banking, you’re also able to save and print if required.
What happens if I lose or have my card stolen?
It is very important that you report a lost or stolen card immediately on +1 508 723 5182 or toll free 180 1525 from overseas, 24×7. We will cancel your card to mitigate any potential losses.
What should I do if I notice transactions on my account that are not mine?
If you think you have fraudulent transactions on your account, you must contact us immediately on +1 508 723 5182 or 180 1525.
What should I do if I think my PIN has been compromised?
If you think someone has found out what your PIN is, you should change it at a EFGlobalGroup Bank ATM and check your account for any unauthorised transactions.
If I forget my PIN, can you find out what it is for me?
No. We will never be able to tell you what your PIN is, and we will never ask you for your PIN either. If you have forgotten your PIN, you can go to a branch to re-enter a new PIN on your card.
What happens when my card is about to expire?

Your card will be valid for 3 years and we will send you a new card with the same card number be collected at your branch.
